About My Own Church for Church Administrators

Overview

Overview

Your organization's purchase of ParishSOFT Family Directory includes My Own Church. My Own Church gives church members and staff anytime and anywhere to their church records from any Web-enabled device (smartphone, tablet, or computer) as long as an Internet connection is available.

Advantages for Members

My Own Church is the ideal solution for members who use the Internet to manage their personal finances and business. My Own Church uses ParishSOFT's technology to give members secure and personal access to the information in their family and member records. Registered users of ParishSOFT Family Suite can log in and perform any of the following tasks in My Own Church:

Manage their own church records and keep personal information accurate and up to date. For example, members who move or change phone numbers can quickly and easily log in and update this information for themselves. No need to call the church, fill out and submit paper forms, and then wait for someone at the church to update their records.

Add a record for a new family member.

       View their personal giving history.

Upload a family photo and individual photos of individual family members.

Check their ministry schedules and the schedules of individual family members.

Web-savvy members gain the freedom to update their information at any time—all without paper forms or phone calls to the parish office. Changes are processed electronically and without the delays typically experienced from the processing of paper forms. Note that any changes a member makes to his or her record must first be approved by an authorized church administrator so there may be a short delay in getting a record updated.

Advantages for Church Staff

For church staff, My Own Church is a self-service system that relieves them of administrative data entry and increases the accuracy of census data because members manage their own records. And, because My Own Church uses ParishSOFT technology, those records are always available from any computer, tablet, or smartphone with an Internet connection. Staff and volunteers gain the freedom to work remotely, managing one or several church databases from a single application.

Member changes are accepted into your database only after they are approved by an authorized administrator, so you always have full control over the integrity of your data.

Advantages for Your Church

Changes to family and member information can be processed electronically and without the delay inherent to a paper form update process. With its complete integration with ParishSOFT Family Directory, any changes or new records that you accept on the My Own Church website are saved to your single database, so you can always have access to the most current census information—no matter which application you use to log in.
