You can either post the payment using the donor's envelope number or using the donor's last name or Family DUID. Follow the instructions that fit your particular preference or circumstance.
Posting by Last Name or Family DUID
If you are using Internet Explorer, the Enter key behaves like the Tab key. That is, you can press the Enter key to move from field to field in the form, and then finally move to the Save button where pressing Save enables you to post the contribution.
If you are using Firefox, Chrome, Microsoft Edge, or Safari, the Enter key does not behave like a Tab key. When working in those browsers, you must press the Tab key to move from field to field in the form, and then click Save to post the contribution.
The application "remembers" the filter settings from your last posting session. If necessary change the posting defaults and options to match your postings for the current session, making sure you do the following:
In the Default Posting Data section, select the batch you are posting the pledge payment to, the fund, and type of payment.
In the Posting Filters section, select registration status and family group filters.
In the Posting Options section, select Envelope Number option from the Input By dropdown list.
You are now ready to post the pledge payment. In the Posting section, complete the following:
In supported browsers, you can use the Tab key or the Enter key to advance the cursor from one entry field to the next.
Select the posting date and the pledge.
Click inside the Env # field and type the family's envelope number.
Tab to the Amount field.
The Post to Preview section on the right updates to show you the name and contact information of the donor associated with the envelope number you entered.
Use the information in the Post to Preview section to verify that you selected the correct donor. If the donor's information is correct, continue to Step 4e. If the information is not correct, go back and repeat Step 4b.
In the Amount field, type the dollar amount of the pledge payment.
If the donor is paying by check, tab to the Check Number field and type the check number.
If desired, note details associated with the payment in the Memo section.
Click to post the payment.
Repeat Step 4a - 4h for each payment you want to post.

If the donor has a pledge associated with the fund, the pledge number automatically displays in the Pledge list. The cursor advances to the Amount field.
Use the information in the Post to Preview section to verify that you selected the correct donor. If the donor's information is correct, continue to Step 4d. If the information is not correct, go back and repeat Step 4b.
In the Amount field, type the dollar amount of the payment.
If the donor is paying by check, tab to the Check Number field and type the check number.
If desired, note details about the payment in the Memo section.
Click to post the payment.
Repeat Step 4a - 4g for each payment you want to post.
