How to Create a Parish Census Export

This topic shows Diocesan Admin users how to export parish census data to a .csv file for use in another application, such as Microsoft Word or Excel.


Access Permissions

Only users who have Diocesan Admin permissions assigned to their login credentials can create an Parish Census Export report. If you believe your work requires use of this report, contact your dioceses for assistance.

Creating a Parish Census Export

  1. Click to display the Administration Reports page.

  2. Select Parish Census> Export.

  3. Using the report setup (see the previous illustration), a Diocesan Admin user can generate a CSV file of census records based on the following criteria:

  1. To filter the report by family registration status select one or both of these options in the Registration Status group:

  1. To filter the report by registration date, select the Registration Date option in the Date Filters group. Then, in the From_To date fields, enter your date range criteria. If you want to retrieve records of families that registered on a specific date, enter the same date in the From _ To fields.

  1. To filter the report by the date modifications were last made to the family record, select the Date Last Updated option in the Date Filters group. Then, in the From_To date fields, enter your date range criteria. If you want to retrieve records that were updated on a specific date, enter the same date in the From _ To fields.

The Parish Census Export report pulls the modification date from the Details Modified On field on the Family Information tab in Family Details.

  1. To filter the report by the date modifications were last made to the family and member record, select the Use Family and Member Last Updated checkbox. Then, in the From_To date fields, enter your date range criteria. If you want to retrieve records that were updated on a specific date, enter the same date in the From _ To fields.

To determine when modifications were last made to the family and member record, the system evaluates two dates and chooses the more recent of the two: the date in the Details Modified On field in Family Details and the date a change was last made to the Head, Husband, or Wife member record.

  1. In the Organization Filters group, select the organizations from which you want to retrieve records matching the filter criteria you specified in Steps 4a - 4d.

The ParishCensus.xlsx file is downloaded to your computer.
