What is an Electronic Contribution Statement (E-Statement)?

An E-statement is simply a copy of a contribution statement that is produced and delivered electronically to you. Instead of receiving a paper statement in the mail, you receive the statement electronically. The statement is stored in your secure My Own Church portal. You must log in to download it to your computer.

What are the Benefits of E-Statements?

E-Statements offers significant benefits to you, among them:

Fight clutter around the home: you can save a copy of the statement to a computer. If you need a physical copy for any reason, you can print it.

Provide greater security: statements are separately delivered to your secure My Own Church portal—instead of to a mailbox. Electronic delivery reduces the chance that a statement can be lost or stolen. In addition, the statements are private because they are viewed by you only.

Provide immediate availability: you do not need to wait for your contribution statement to arrive by mail. You have 24/7 access to the statement from any computer or smart device as long as you have an Internet connection.

What Does an E-Statement Look Like?

An E-Statement is simply a PDF version of a paper statement. The content of an E-Statement is the same as a paper statement.

There is no time limit on how long the statements are available. If desired, you can download statements to your computer and store them for future reference. So, you can keep your statement for as long as you want.

How Do I Know When My E-Statement Is Available?

The administrator for your organization will send you an email notifying you when the E-Statement is available. After you receive the email, log in to download the statement.

What If I Don't Want to Receive an Electronic Version of My Contribution Statement?

If you do not want to receive an electronic version of your contribution statement, do not download the statement. The system keeps track of which givers download their E-Statements.
