How to View a Donor's Giving History
The application uses the information you enter when
you save contributions and pledge transactions and creates a history of
each donor's annual giving. You can use this information to track a donor's
giving patterns and view a summary of his or her giving history. Giving
history records are available only to users who have View Giving History
access rights assigned to their logins.
Click
to display the Giving History page.
As shown in the following illustration, each
donor name is a link to his or her personal giving history records.
- If you have a lot of records, use the rolodex
filters to locate the member or family whose giving history you
want to view.
- To view a donor's giving history record, click
the donor's name link.
The family's total giving profile is displayed.
For example:
- In the Filter Options
section, select filters to narrow down the transactions you want to
view:
- Funds: to
view giving to a specific fund, select the fund from the list. Alternatively,
select All to view giving to all funds.
- Years: to
view annual contributions for a specific year, select the year from
the list. Alternatively, select All to view giving for all years.
- Tax Deductible:
check the box to view tax-deductible contributions only.
- Include Member Information:
check the box to include family member's giving information.
- (Optional) In the Solicitation
Information section, enter information unique to the family
that relates to your organization's campaign management purposes in
the field.
Only users with the following
access rights are allow to enter information in the Diocesan
Target field: Family Directory > View
and Offering > View > Giving History.
- To view the giving history profiles for individual
family members, click the name of the family member in the Members
list on the left.
Deleted
family members appear on the Members
list only if they have contributions tied to their records.
Clicking
any one of the column headings in the grids changes the sort order of
the information. For example in the Contributions grid, you can sort contributions
in ascending or descending order by clicking the Date
heading. The directional arrow to the right of the heading label indicates
the direction of the sort.
- If you are an administrator, you may have access
to multiple organizations. If so, you can quickly switch between them
to view contributions and pledges made to funds by the selected family
and its members in the organization you select. To view the family's
giving to a different organization, simply select it from the Organization
dropdown list in the upper right (see previous illustration).
The
dropdown list includes only the organizations you have access rights to.
Access rights are determined both by your user role (for example, parish
administrator) and by permissions explicitly assigned in your staff record.
