How to Create a Revenue Projection Report
The Revenue Projection report lets you view detailed
information about a selected fund's future revenue based on the installment
schedules for current active pledges. The report provides five years of
projected revenue activity as of the month you specify in the current
year.
To create a Revenue Project report, complete the following:
- If you manage several organizations, select the
desired organization from the Organization
list.
- Click
to display the Offering
Reports page.
- Select Pledges
> Revenue Projection to display
the report setup.
- On the Funds tab
in the right panel, select the fund whose revenue you want to forecast.
The
Funds grid lists only the funds
you have permission to access.
- Click Next to advance
to the Options tab.
- On the Options tab,
do the following:
- In the Starting Month
dropdown list, select the start month. This is the month from which
you want to begin projecting the fund's future revenue.
- In the Sub Reports
section, two sub-report options are selected by default.
- Non-Performing
Pledges: shows the total amount pledged that is not included
in the forecast due to non-payment.
- Non-Forecastable
Pledges: shows total amount pledged that cannot be included
in the forecast due to insufficient data in the fund's pledge records.
If you want to include a sub-report in the
output, leave its checkbox selected. Otherwise, deselect the checkbox
for the sub-report you want to exclude.
- Do one of the following:
- Click
to create and download a .csv file
of the report to your computer.
- Click
to create and download a .pdf file
of the report to your computer.
The report shows five years of projected
revenue activity as of the start month in the current year you selected.
The report also shows a total dollar amount for contributions already
received and a total dollar amount of revenue projected five years into
the future.
Data is projected on a monthly, quarterly,
and annual basis, which enables users to make direct period-by-period
comparisons (for example, a fund’s projected giving for 1st quarter 2019
with its projected giving for 1st quarter 2022).
