Before your organization can use the Religious Education application to add classes and create schedules for your program, you need to set up the application to fit the unique requirements of your religious education program. This topic explains how to get started.

The setup process varies depending upon whether you are migrating or converting data from an existing religious education application or whether you are starting from scratch. This page presents two options as starting points:
You must have Organization Admin access rights assigned to your login credentials to use the utilities associated with each option. If you need assistance getting the appropriate permissions, contact your organization administrator.
● Option 1. Desktop Data Migration
Option 1 is your starting point if you are moving religious education data to ParishSOFT Religious Education from ParishSOFT's desktop religious education application or if you converted data from a non-ParishSOFT application to ParishSOFT Religious Education.
The Desktop Data Migration Utility is available to help you transition your data. The utility is an Administration module feature. Therefore, you must have Organization Admin privileges to access it. The utility walks you through the process of copying all of your data, user-specific settings, and configurations into ParishSOFT Religious Education.

● Option 2. New Install: System Setup Wizard
Option 2 is your starting point if you have no religious education data to migrate or convert to the ParishSOFT Religious Education application. If you are in this group, you will start the setup from scratch.
The Initial Setup Wizard is available to help you set up the application to fit the requirements of your program.
