How to Create a GDPR Forgotten Families Report

Per GDPR legislation, individuals have the right to have their personal data erased. This is referred to as the 'right to be forgotten'. This topic shows you how to create a GDPR Forgotten Families report. After forgetting a family, you can run this report to confirm that personally identifying information was actually removed from the records of "forgotten" families.


You must have Family Directory View + Add/Edit + Print permissions to run this report.

This topic shows you how to create a report of forgotten families. If you want to create a forgotten members report, go to How to Create a GDPR Forgotten Members Report.

  1. Click .

  2. In the Report Type menu, select GDPR. Then, in the Report menu select Forgotten Families.

  3. The Date Range section lets you specify a time period to search for removed records. Do one of

The following illustration shows an example of a family record that to which the Forget Family process was applied. To anonymize the family, the process removed the family's last name, replacing it with “GDPR." All fields containing personally identifying information about the family now contain no data or are set to the field's default value (for example, False).
