How to Create a ParishSOFT Giving Added Families Report


The ParishSOFT Giving Added Families report shows the names of families and members who gave gifts electronically through ParishSOFT Giving but had no Family Directory record at the time of the donation so the system created one. Before creating the record, the system performs various checks (for example, compares the email address, phone number, last name and first name) to ensure that no record exists. Finding no match, it creates a new family record and sets the status of the family to Inactive. You can use this report to verify that the added records are indeed unique and then merge them, if necessary.

This report is available only if the ParishSOFT Giving Options setting is enabled for your organization. The setting, located on the Module Settings page in the Administration module, is managed by your organization administrator.

To create a ParishSOFT Giving Added Families report, complete the following:

  1. If you manage multiple organizations, select the desired organization from the Organization list.
  2. From the Report Type menu, select Census. Then, select the ParishSOFT Giving Added Families option from the Report menu.

  3. Choose one of the following methods to set up the report:

  1. Select the Start Date and End Date checkboxes.

  2. In both the Start Date and End Date fields, click and select the desired date from the calendar. Alternatively, type a date in each field.

This date range specifies a time interval starting from the date you specify and continuing up to the present.

  1. Select the Start Date checkbox.

  2. In the Start Date field, click and select the desired date from the calendar. Alternatively, type a date in the field.

  3. Deselect the End Date checkbox.

This date range specifies a time interval up to and including the end date you specify.

  1. Deselect the Start Date checkbox.

  2. Select the End Date checkbox. Then, in the End Date field, click and select the desired date from the calendar. Alternatively, type a date in the field.

  1. Deselect the Start Date checkbox.

  2. Deselect the End Date checkbox.

  1. To view the report, click .

The report opens in the Report Viewer.
